Native American culture and tradition is embraced through art projects, guest speakers, discussions about customs, story-telling, comparison of values and religion, music, and language. Assessments: Daily assignments, objective chapter tests, class participation, research report, biographic writing, and self-assessment Meeting Diverse Students Needs: Students with unique abilities and/or disabilities will have differentiated opportunities to achieve competencies and standards at rates and in manners consistent with their needs. Some examples are reduced assignments, modified chapter tests, classroom aid, assigned seating, extended time on assignments, modified discipline plan, Special Education assistance, Title 1 assistance, and one-on-one teacher assistance.
